Moulds; mould ng slabs or blocks.-Relates to moulds for the manufacture of concrete and like slabs or blocks of the kind having interengaging hinged sides and ends capable of being readily opened for the removal of the slab. One or more of the sides or eids project beyond the adjacent ends or sides, and a block a<3>, Fig. 15, is provided to prevent displacement of the free end and side. The moulds are provided with interengaging pins and dowels or with projections s, Fig. 16, to facilitate the stacking of moulds to permit a number of slabs to be moulded on top of one another. The moulds may all be removed as a unit when the securing-means are released, or, when the projections s are used, may be removed separately. Sawdust or like rough material is used to separate the slabs. A frame w, Fig. 14, with a co-operating rabbeted pressure-plate x is used for tamping. The sides and ends of the mould are formed with projections and recesses, or are inclined as shown in Fig. 14 to give the required configuration to the slab.
