Abstract

169,649. Antinoro, E. Dec. 14, 1920. Addition to 151,523. Fusible cut-outs.-Magazine fuses as described in the parent Specification have the rotatable plug A made in any form and provided with peripherally-arranged holes b lengthwise of the plug to receive the fusible wires. The ends of the holes receive bored terminals f provided with devices e which simultaneously secure them in position and clamp the fuse wire. In a modification, Fig. 7, the plug is in the form of a cylinder flanged at each end, and glass tubes, Fig. 9, each containing a fuse wire and carrying terminals s at their ends are secured in holes r in the flanges of the plug by the screws which clamp the fuse wire in the terminals. In both forms the ends of the fuse terimnals are recessed to engage spring contacts g which secure a stepby-step motion of the rotatable plug. The plugbox has a removable cover secured by screws q and the spring contact connections o carried on the inner face of the box cover are by the same means pressed into contact with connection pieces l lying along the inside of the box, the lead connections being made behind the box. The device is constructed as a double pole fuse, but may be used on a single pole.
