Search - lights; lantern obturators. - To prevent dazzle, an obturator f of spherical shape is movably mounted on a tube e carrying the spherical lamp bulb b and is adapted to be moved by a handle g, or by mechanism operated from the driver's seat, into the position shown in dotted lines. The main reflector c is provided with a central opening for the passage of the tube e, and the front part of the bulb is frosted. The front of the obturator facing the bulb is painted white.
