168,732. Purton, F. A. J. W., and Purton, P. A. July 5, 1920. Propeller guards.-Revolving and stationary propellers for aircraft are enclosed within tubes, some of the propellers revolving in a reverse direction, and one followed by a stationary cone and vanes. Propellers A, B are revolved in opposite directions on shafts G, H, and have four or more streamline blades fixed to tubes a<1>, b<1>. The stationary propeller C has 32 or more radial blades fixed to a tube c<1>, and the cone D has eight or more radial blades fixed to a tube d<1>. Ball races are interposed between the edges of the tubes a<1>, c<1>, b<1>, d<1>.
