Heat distributors. - A heat distributor for use on gas-stove hotplates of the type comprising a shallow box partially open on the lower side and having openings in the a top for cooking-vessels is supported so that the top is substantially level with the top of the hot-plate. In the form shown this is provided for by means of slots or holes a', a in the ends through which the bars b pass; in modifications the device is supported by bars passing under or around it or by a flange or ears resting on the stove top, or by a combination of these. The top of the device, or a portion d<1> of the top, may be removable when only one vessel is to be heated, or for purposes of renewal, and flanges g protecting the outer sides from extreme heat may be provided on it. The bottom h may also be removablefor use on stoves where a second burner is so placed as to project into the device.
