Heat - distributors.-A heat distributor for use over gas cooking- stoves and on heating-plates consists of a shallow boxlike chamber with a number of closable apertures in its upper side 1, and in its lower side 2 a single aperture which coincides with one of the burners of the stove on which it is used. The aperture in the bottom 2 has a preferably loose flange or collar 3 to collect and direct the heat. The walls 3 and bottom 2 may be made in one, but preferably the walls 3 extend down beyond the lower plate 2, and the top plate 1 is readily removable and is kept in position by lugs 6 or by pegs in opposite corners of the plate 1. The apertures in the top plate have concentric rings and covers 8, and beneath them are stands 9 arranged as shown, or inverted, or similar supports attached to the underside of the top plate, or bars which cross each other beneath the centres of the apertures. The walls may be lagged. The device may be formed with feet 14 so that it may be used as a table article and heated by a gas-ring.
