Latches, sliding; electrically operated or controlled fastenings. - Relates to bolts adapted to be shot by a spring and to be retracted by a solenoid b, the core c of which is a rearward extension of the bolt d, the spring being a coiled spring situated behind the core c. According to the invention, a hinged catch j is provided to engage a notch d' in the bolt d to hold the same in the retracted position. A handle h is also provided on the bolt.
