Abstract

168,089. Smitheman, A. March 30, 1920. Plant, general arrangement of.- A portable brick-making plant comprises a clay grinder, pugmill press and kiln all mounted upon wheels. The clay passes by the elevator 1 to the hopper 2 of the roller grinder 3 and then to the pugmill 4, the issuing bar of clay being cut into bricks which are passed by a conveyer 5 to a brick press 6 and thence by a conveyer 7 to a kiln 8. When full, the kiln is removed for the burning process and replaced by an empty one. Specification 156,820 is referred to.
