Flexible transmitters. - In Bowden mechanism adapted for the dual control of automobile throttles, brakes, clutches, &c., of the type in which the inner wire is continuous and can be operated, e.g. by a hand-lever, while the sheath is interrupted at an intermediate point, one portion thereof being independently operable, e.g. by an accelerator or other pedal, the portion b of the sheath extending to the device to be con trolled is adjustably clamped at h to a protective tubular extension g<2> of a casing g, in which slides a block e having a protective tubular extension e<1> to which is similarly clamped at f the other portion b<1> oi the sheath extending to the hand-control lever. The block e is pressed by a spring j, and is operable to move the sheath b<1>, and hence the wire d, without disturbing the hand-control, by a pedal i and trigger m pivoted at k to a flanged bare l of the casing g. Slight modifications in the arrangement of the pedal are described.
