Abstract

167,085. Pettett, W. July 30, 1920. Stoppers fitted with capsule and like cutting devices.-A device for opening hermetically-sealed tins, &c. and for subsequently closing the openings formed consists of a conical plug a having at its lower end a toothed cutter e arranged to cut out a disc from the wall of the receptacle being opened, a central spike f serving as a pivot. The device has a hand-grip b and a hole c to receive a lever. The tips of the cutting-teeth g may be slightly hook shaped.
