Abstract

443,557. Vacuum tins. BENNETT, G. H., 43, Wish Road, Hove, Sussex. May 30, 1934, Nos. 16164 and 29489. [Class 125 (iii)] A tin &c. 1 which is sealed in vacuo, has a plug in the vent-hole having a tapered shank 6 and a circular head 5. The plug is formed of resilient material and is contracted at 4 on being pulled through the vent-hole and is self retentive. Anchoring devices may be provided in the shanks of the plugs to prevent their complete removal when breaking the vacuum.
