Abstract

166,803. Budd, E. G. June 21, 1920. Mud-guards for motor and other road vehicles comprise a single sheet of metal, which is shaped to the required contour and has one edge thereof formed into an inside portion 4 for attachment to the vehicle body and the other edge 3 formed into a depending vizor or flange portion 2 offset inwardly with reference to the main body part of the guard. The lower edge of the vizor is reinforced by a wire 7. At the bend 3 the under portion of the metal may, as shown in Fig. 5, be folded back flatly under the crown 1 of the guard.
