Knobs and handles, attaching.-The spindle 2 of a door knob is made of channel section and provided with a loop spring 4 projecting above the upper edges of the spindle so as to press against the latch-operating sleeve 6. Similar springs 3 may be provided at the ends of the spindle to prevent loose movement between the spindle and the door knobs 1. The springs are secured by pins 7, 8.
