[Class 112] A presser-foot b has the sole portion a provided with one or more yielding runners f consisting of a closed spring band encircling the sole and providing a space between the band and the bottom of the sole to provide a resilient clearance for cross seams s as shown in Fig. 6. The sole may be shouldered as at k and i, Fig. 9, to accommodate the spring runners.
