Abstract

165,726. Imans, P. July 2, 1920, [Convention date]. Dolls.-In a device for securing wax arms to the shoulders of exhibition lay figures, the arm has embedded therein a fastening- member 1 of wood &c. of truncated cone shape provided with a central projecting rod or pin 3 carrying a lateral stud 4, and with an annular recess 5 containing a coil spring 6, the shoulder carrying a co-operating fastening member 2 having a central hole 8 to receive the rod 3 and a longitudinal groove 9 for the passage of the stud 4. Metal washers 7, 10 are provided, the latter having a notch for the passage of the stud 4; the arm is then rotated to secure the joint in bayonet fashion, the stud bearing on the plate 10.
