Abstract
164,821. Brown, M. V. March 10, 1920. Helical springs.- The end coils of helical springs a of the ordinary circular pattern for upholstered seats, cushions, mattresses, &c. are formed with not less than four uniform sinuous corrugations a<1>, the outward bends of which form points of anchorage for string or other connections. According to the Provisional Specification, the end coils may be triangular, square, &c. to form bends, or the wire of the spring may be flattened at parts and perforated or formed into hooks, or metal tabs may be soldered to the wire. The springs may be connected by wire hooks or by spiral springs.
