Covers; teaves, sheets, and the like; racks. - Loose leaves are hinged to a leaf or cover &c. by the engagement of three tenons 1, 2, 3 on the edge of the leaves with slots 4, 5, 6 in the cover, the leaves s normally overlapping each other and lying flat on the cover. The tongue K on the tenon 3 points in the opposite direction to the tongues H on the tenons 1 and'2, and the tongue on the tenon 2 is shorter than those on the tenons 1 and 3. In attaching a leaf to the cover, the tenon 1 is placed in the slot 4 and slid to the left sufficiently to allow the tenon 2 to enter the slot 5; both tenons 1, 2 are then slid to the left as far as possible and the tenon 3 is sprung into the slot 6 by temporarily bending the leaf.
