Valve-gear.-To facilitate dismounting from the chassis of a road vehicle, a crank chamber is constructed in two parts so that the lower part may be removed without disturbing the upper part carrying the cylinders. Fig. 1 shows the upper portion of a crank chamber which encloses a pair of shafts at right angles for actuating the valve mechanism, a magneto, and a water-circulating pump. The cam-shaft axis III, IV is parallel to the crank-shaft axis V, VI, and the cam shaft may be withdrawn through the opening h in the casing. A magneto is mounted upon the bracket o and is driven by a shaft which may be withdrawn through the orifice i. This shaft also actuates the cam shaft.
