Abstract

161,480. Pocock, S. J. July 3, 1920. Gas meters.-Relates to improvements in the regulating-mechanism of gas meters of the class in which the wrist body is adjustably mounted in a tangent having spaced sides rigidly connected to the crank-shaft, these two sides being connected at their free ends by an integral cross member, whereby the mechanism may be easily adjusted from outside the box. The tangent wrist body 8" is horizontally grooved on opposed edges to receive the sides 13 of the tangent which is adjustable longitudinally therein by rotating a screw 15 journaled in the cross member 14 and threaded through the wrist body. The free end 15' of the screw 15 is shaped to receive an operating key which is inserted through a port in the side B of the meter box. The port is normally closed by a cap 16 soldered or otherwise sealed in position.
