Abstract

161,304. Paterson, E., and Ault, H. E. E. Jan. 12, 1920. Drying - apparatus. -Relates to valve actuating and controlling device of the kind wherein the valve is opened and maintained open only when a machine, &c. is running at or above a predetermined speed. The valve d for supplying gas to the drying-burners of a printing - machine is actuated by a solenoid f which is energized when the switch contacts g, h, are closed by a bridge piece i carried by the starting-handle j of the machine. The starting-handle is in this position only when it is at or near its fullon position. An additional switch contact g<1> is provided to light up a lamp k to indicate when the handle is in the full-on position.
