Regulation, automatic systems and apparatus for.-Relates to furnace wherein the movement of the electrode 5 is effected through the operation of a member 24 governing the electrode control circuit and actuated by a device responsive to variations in the supply circuit 8, such as a current transformer 22 which energizes the operating coil 21 of the member 24, and consists in the application of a positive force tending to return the member to its neutral position whenever the control circuit is closed. This force may be supplied by an electromagnet 36 which is energized as soon as the motor-reversing switch 14 or 15 is closed due to the member 24 closing the contact 27 or 28.
