Abstract

Regulation, automatic.-Stoppage of a fluid - pressure operated regulator 8 centrally of any contact is ensured by a notch device 9 cooperating with a bell crank 10 which is centred by a spring 11. If the regulator 8 is not resting centrally on one of its contacts the lever 10 is deflected from its normal position and opens a valve 12 to supply fluid to the piston 6, thereby centralizing the regulator. The lever 10 can control contact in the circuit of magnets used to move the valve 12. In the form shown a field regulator 8 of a generator 7 is adjusted according to the voltage across a coil 1, through the intermediary of a valve 2 controlling admission of fluid to the piston 6.
