526,344. Automatic control systems. BOSCH GES., R. March 14, 1939, No. 8111. Convention date, April 4, 1938. [Class 38 (iv)] Electromotive force.-A vibratory voltage regulator with a single pair of contacts 17 has a core 13 carrying voltage and current coils 14, 15. To produce a rapid fall of voltage at a given current strength the circuit of the current coil 15 contains a switch operated under the desired current condition. As shown in Fig. 1 the reverse current cut-out has an extra armature 10 closing contacts 12 in series with the coil 15 at a given current strength. In a modification, Fig. 2, the cores 6, 13 of the cutout and regulator are associated with the same yoke and the cut-out armature 20 actuates the contacts 12. Fig. 3 (not shown) uses a single core with a voltage coil and current coils on the respective yoke limbs. To permit dynamos with separate regulators according to the invention to run successfully in parallel the moving contact 12 may have a back contact so that when the current winding on the cut-out reverses its excitation due to another dynamo taking the load, the coil 15 is reversely energized and the regulator caused to increase the voltage of the dynamo it is regulating to restore balance.
