Automatic-feed weighers.-In an automaticfeed weigher for weighing out small quantities of material, the release and opening of the weigh hopper door by the usual toggle mechanism is ensured bv the addition of a lever which is rocked in one direction by a connection from the feed-gate of the supply hopper and is rocked in the other direction by a spring or equivalent means. The final cut-off gate 9 of the supply hopper in moving from the position shown by dotted lines to the closed position allows a spring 15 to rock the additional lever 10 so as to ensure the breaking of the toggle linkage 6 if the usual breaking-means fails, thus ensuring the opening of the weigh-hopper door 4.
