Automatic -feed weighers. - In an automatic weighing and delivering machine the usual counterweighted lever connected to the weighing receptacle door, and the usual lever with its knockoff means for allowing the counterweighted lever to move to open the door are combined with an abutment consisting of a lever carried by the weighing receptacle and adapted to limit the movement of the counterweighted lever when released by the knock-off mechanism, and a fixed stop adapted to turn the abutment lever about its pivot to clear the counterweighted lever when the weighing receptacle rises due to discharge of material. In addition to the usual toggle links d, e and release lever i of the discharge door b, the weighing receptacle a carries a lever m which obstructs a pin k on the link e thus permitting only a partial opening of the discharge door when the toggle links are liberated by displacement of the lever i in usual manner. When the bucket has risem to a position wherein the usual weight box is deposited on its stop, the arm o of the lever m engages an adjustable stop p, and the lever m is moved clear of the pin k thereby permitting the discharge door to open fully and to complete the discharge rapidly. In order to prolong the period of discharge, a weighted lever may be pivoted on the frame so as to intercept and retard the descent of the weight box.
