160,396. Jackson, W. J. Mellersh-, (Bound Brook Oil-less Bearing Co.). July 5, 1920. Channels in bearings. - In a self-lubricating bearing having grooves to contain graphite &c., the grooves 7, as shown developed in Fig. 8, are parallel and of sinuous form, and are interrupted at points either 90 or 180‹ apart forming longitudinal strips 4 of bearing-surface which strengthen the bearing. The strips 4 are of slightly staggered form. The grooves are helical and change their direction at each 90‹.
