Abstract
160,151. Soc. Franco-Belge de Fours Ó Coke. March 11, 1920, [Convention date]. Ammonium sulphate.-In a gas-producer plant the gases leaving the producer 1 pass through a heat exchanger 4, a chamber 8 having spraying nozzles 15, a tar extractor 10, a saturator 11, and a scrubber 13, finally passing away through a pipe 14. Water from the nozzles 15 charged with fixed ammoniacal salts falls to a receptacle 16, in which tar is separated and the liquor flows by a pipe 18 to the lower part 19 of the scrubber, and is passed by a pump 22 to the spraying chamber 8. The saturator is steam heated by a coil 27 supplied with steam from the chamber 28, which steam may be superheated in an apparatus 29 burning producer gas. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) comprises also a process in which a portion of the liquor is supplied by a liquidraising device 25 to a recepacle 24, where it is mixed with the sulphuric acid for feeding the saturator 11, hydrochloric acid and the like escaping through a pipe 26. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
