Coupling and capping. - A rope capel or coupling a has an axial hole with two flat parallel sides, the other sides being curved in section, and converging uniformly to a circular section at the outer end of the boss. In this aperture are fitted two wedge-shaped bushes c, Fig. 4, correspondingly shaped. The bushes are inserted at the end adjacent to the eye b and the rope is frictionally gripped between them.
