Abstract
159,848. Herrmann, H. Feb. 27, 1920, [Convention date]. Moulding commutators, &c.-Commutators and the like are formed by a moulding operation, the conducting strips, hub, and other metal members being embedded in insulating material which becomes plastic when heated. Fig. 3 shows a section through the mould i between which and the segments a of the commutator are inserted hoops b and spacing rings p, q, so that during the moulding operation the hoops b are insulated from the segments a and the insulation is excluded from the face of the commutator. Additional securing means may be provided, such as pins e. Specification 153,275 is referred to.
