Abstract

158,562. Goldschmidt Akt.-Ges., T. Jan. 26, 1920, [Convention date]. Alloys for bearings contain about 74.5-84.5 per cent of lead, up to about 10 per cent of tin, 10-15 per cent of antimony, and about 0.5 per cent of phosphorus. The phosphorus may be introduced in the form of an alloy with one or more metals such as copper, manganese, or zinc. Alloys containing 80 per cent of lead, 10-15 per cent of antimony, 5-10 per cent of tin, and a small proportion of copper, are referred to.
