Abstract

157,140. Truscon Steel Co. Dec. 30, 1915, [Convention date]. Addition to 157,139. Walls.-Relates to sheet-metal buildings of the kind described in the parent Specification and comprising flanged sheet-metal wall panels secured by slotted bolts and wedges to ribbed columns. According to the present invention, the gussets 6, Fig. 1, of the roof trusses are formed with extensions 44 which support the eave plate 50; the end wall panels are flanged at their upper ends 68, Fig. 13, and bolted to a ribbed wall bar 69 ; the corner wall panels have the upper and lower edges cut. bent, and joined as shown at 61, Fig. 15; and the gable plates 67, Fig. 3, have their lower and sides edges flanged .and bolted to bars 69, 72 respectively. The roofing consists of plates 51, ridge plates 49, and eave plates 50 bent to interlock and secured to the rafters by clips 54. A weathering strip under the gables is welded to the gable plate 67, and the bar 69 has a bend 80 to form a drip. Wooden or metal lintels 81 over doors 83 are secured to the bar 69 by a filling plate 86. The interior may be lined with plates 96 secured in angle-plates 97<a>, and asbestos or like ceiling plates 103 may be supported from the roof ties 8 by angle-plates 101.
