Spring devices.-In a motor cycle or scooter having a king-post connected with the steering- head by a pair of frame structures S, C, D triangular in side view and supporting the rearwheel axle H by further triangular structures F, G, the engine E being attached to the king-post, the footboards 0 are carried by links J which are pivoted to the foot of the king-post and are attached to vertical rods K working in guides L on the frame against the action of springs M, N, the saddle P, if provided, being supported by the vertical rods. As shown, the king-post comprises a pair of plates B.
