Abstract

153,979. Anderson, T. W. E. Aug. 25, 1919. Levers, locking. - A lever A is locked by a bifurcated arm C which can only be released by a key. The arm C is pivoted on a pin D<1> in a fixed casing D and is formed with concentric slots C<5> having enlargements C<6> at one end. Spring-pressed pins D<4> can slide in apertures in the casing D, and in the enlargements C<6> when the arm C is in position for locking the lever A. In this position the arm is locked by the pins D<4>. When a key F is inserted in the casing D the pins are moved axially until reduced portions D<6> thereon are in line with the slots in the central part of the arm C, and the latter is then pulled back by a spring C<1> leaving the lever free.
