Abstract
1535622 Phase shifters MASCHINENFABRIK REINHAUSEN GEBR SCHEUBECK GmbH & CO KG 14 April 1977 [15 April 1976] 15498/77 Heading H2F In a voltage regulator, associated with a tapped transformer connected to a power transmission line, a network replicating inphase and quadrature components of the voltage drop in the transmission line and fed by a single current transformer 3 whose primary is connected to the transmission line comprises two equal value resistors 5, 6 connected in series with each other across the secondary terminals 1, 2, of the current transformer, an output being taken from the junction 7 of the two resistors to form a reference line, a single pole change-over switch 13 across the resistors 5, 6 with an output from the movable contact 16 of the switch providing the in-phase voltage component between this output 161 and the reference line 71, and a further resistor 10 in series with a capacitor 11 connected across the secondary terminals of the current transformer through a double pole changeover switch 19, an output being taken from the junction 12 between the further resistor and the capacitor to provide the quadrature voltage component between this output 121 and the reference line 71. Reversal of the in-phase component when required is achieved by operating the changeover switch 13 and reversal of the quadrature component is achieved by operating the changeover switch 19.
