Abstract

1535533 Dyeing yarns or fabrics R ASHWORTH 5 April 1977 [21 Aug 1976] 34914/76 Heading D1L In the dyeing of yarns or fabrics by passage through a series of liquid treatment baths 24, the textile is conveyed therethrough by rollers 24' mounted on frames which are vertically movable so that in the event of a malfunction the frame can be raised to remove the textiles from the baths and terminate treatment. The textiles are fed to and from the baths via nip rolls 22 and a compensator roll 23 which controls the roll speed and textile tension. The textile is also passed through the atmosphere at 28 between each bath.
