1535052 Hardened cementitious products MATSUSHITA ELECTRIC WORKS Ltd 14 Nov 1975 [15 Nov 1974 9 Dec 1974 10 Dec 1974 12 Dec 1974 16 Dec 1974 18 Dec 1974 29 April 1975] 47006/75 Heading C3N [Also in Division C1] A hardened product composition comprises, as substantially the sole inorganic binder, 3CaO À Al 2 O 3 À CaSO 4 À 12H 2 O or 3CaO À Al 2 O 3 . 3CaSO 4 À 31-32 H 2 O or a mixture thereof and at least one additive selected from a fibrous material, a high molecular weight organic binder, a fatty acid, a fatty acid salt, a fatty acid ester, and calcium silicate. The fibrous material may comprise inorganic fibres, e.g. glass fibres, asbestos, carbon fibres, or rock wool, synthetic organic fibres, e.g. nylon fibres, polypropylene fibres, acrylic fibres, polyester fibres, polyvinyl formal fibres, or polyvinyl alcohol fibres or natural organic fibres, e.g. pulp, flax, wood flour, wool, or cotton linter. The high molecular weight organic binder may be starch, gelatine, casein, polyvinyl alcohol, a urea resin, a melamine resin, a water-soluble phenol resin, a polymethylol acrylamide, polyacrylic acid, polyvinyl acetate, a polyacrylate, an epoxy resin, an ethylenevinyl acetate copolymer resin, or a water insoluble phenol resin. The additives may be blended in during or after the preparation of the inorganic binder or in the case of the organic binder additive coating or impregnation of the inorganic binder may take place.
