Abstract

153,483. Foss, S. O. Dec. 18, 1919. Driving-gear for endless - chain conveyers; troughs; sectional. framework; feet.-The framework of a conveyer for use in coal mines is made in sections which are hinged together so that it may rest on an uneven floor. The sections 1 are pivotally connected by bolts 2 passed through ears 3 which serve also as supports for the framework. The upper run of the conveyer travels in channel-shaped members 4 and the lower run moves in guides formed by the longitudinal beams 10 of the framework. The working face of the teeth 8 of the driving-wheel 7 is perpendicular to the links of the conveyer chain.
