1529512 Reversible ploughs PFLUGFABRIK LEMKEN KG 26 Feb 1976 [5 March 1975] 07609/76 Heading A1B In a reversible plough having a support wheel 5 carried by a carrier arm 4 mounted on a pivot axle 3 so that on reversing the arm 4 swings forwards through 180‹, and the working positions are defined by stops 7 and 8, the axle 3 of a support wheel 5 is inclined at an angle # (Fig. 2) to the horizontal when the carrier 4 is vertical, and is inclined to the direction of travel (to ensure forward pivoting of the arm 4) at an angle 90‹ + α towards the ploughed side in the case of plough bodies moving over the reversing axis X of the plough frame 2 and at an angle 90‹-α (as in Fig. 3) towards the ploughed side in the case of plough bodies moving under the reversing axis X of the plough frame 2, so that for a given angle γ of the carrier 4 to the vertical, the plane of the wheel 5 is parallel to the direction of travel, although not vertical. The angles α, # and γ are related by the formula #=α/sin γ. The axle 6 may be at right angles to the carrier 4, but the carrier 4 may be obliquely positioned on the pivot axle 3.
