Abstract

1527515 Delivering sheets GRAPHA-HOLDING AG 27 Nov 1975 [27 Nov 1974] 48742/75 Heading B8R Sheets in an overlapping stream are fed downwards by a vertical conveyer comprising a band 35 co-operating with band sections 18, 19, 20 on to a horizontal conveyer comprising chains 12, 13 carrying pairs of aligned spacer members 14 so as to form stacks 85 against the members 14 with the sheets on edge. The lower end of the band 35 is spaced a distance slightly more than the length of a sheet, and each sheet is urged towards the spacers in front by fingers pivoted on a shaft 24. The sheets are counted by means of a feeler 41 and when a predetermined number are fed a holder 40 interrupts the feed to form a gap in the stream. Each stack is raised by a carriage 66 to a position where it is compressed by jaws 81 and 82 and removed laterally by a frame 78, 79.
