1526958 Valves GEORGE KENT (MALAYSIA) BERHAD 23 Sept 1976 [26 Sept 1975] 39594/75 Heading F2V An air vent comprises a main valve 1 and a subsidiary valve 3 each consisting of a housing 7, 39 with an inlet 13, 41 and an outlet 9, 47, a float 33, 59 within the housing rising to close the outlet on ingress of water through the inlet; the inlet of the subsidiary valve 3 is releasably connected to an outlet pipe 31 which extends from a further outlet 29 of the main valve 1, and when the assembly is coupled to a water pipe the subsidiary valve is positioned at a higher level than the main valve. If desired each valve may be used separately, the outlet 29 being closed.
