Abstract

1523725 Carpet securing devices COBRA METALS Ltd 18 Sept 1975 [21 Sept 1974] 41213/74 Heading A4S A carpet securing device comprises an elongate metal strip 1 having spikes 2 on one of its faces for engaging a carpet and legs 4 bent from the strip and extending from the other of its faces for engaging a floor to space the spiked surface of the strip from the floor, and one or more retainers 6 each comprising a point 7 for engaging a skirting board and spaced legs providing opposed recesses 12 for engagement by the longitudinal edges of the strip to retain the strip. The strip 1 or the or each retainer 6 may be resiliently deformable to permit the strip being sprung into position in the recesses 12. A punch (13), Fig. 5 (not shown), may be fitted over the retainer 6 to facilitate hammering the point 7 into the skirting board. The strip has nail holes.
