Abstract

1373573 Securing carpets L HILES 26 March 1973 [25 March 1972] 14129/72 Heading A4S A stair carpet anchor comprises a strip of sheet metal having end parts extending at an angle to a central part such that in position on a stair the central part is parallel to the stair edge and the end parts extend across the stair width, teeth or tines on the end parts pointing towards the centre part which also has teeth or tines. Holes are provided in the anchor for fixing nails or screws. All the teeth or tines point in use towards the stair riser and they engage in but do not project through the backing of a carpet. The teeth or tines may be punched out of the material of the strip.
