1522546 Polybutadiene/styrene graft polymers ASAHI KASEI KOGYO KK 5 May 1976 1976 [12 May 1975] 18396/76 Headings C3P High-impact polystyrene comprises a major amount of polystyrene grafted on to a polybutadiene having (1) a 1,2-vinyl content of from 15% to 35% and a cis-1,4 content of 20 to 85% and (2) a Mooney viscosity (ML1+4) of 25 to 85, the solution viscosity (SV) of styrene containing 5% by weight of polybutadiene at 25‹ C. being 50 to 200 c.p.s. and 1-5 ML1-4 #SV# 3 ML1+4. Graft polymers are produced in Examples from styrene, or a styrene/acrylonitrile mixture, and polybutadiene by bulk or bulk/suspension processes.
