1362399 Rubber-toughened thermoplastic/ liquid telomer compositions STERLING MOULDING MATERIALS 1 Dec 1972 [3 Dec 1971] 56364/71 Heading C3G A rubber-toughened thermoplastic material contains 0À2 to 5À0 parts by weight per hundred parts of material of a liquid hydrocarbon telomer having an unsaturated carbon chain. The preferred thermoplastic material is high impact polystyrene and the telomer may be produced from a 1,3-diene, preferably butadiene. Examples are given in which a high impact polystyrene produced from styrene and polybutadiene is compounded with a butadiene telomer, TiO 2 , zinc stearate and anti-oxidant.
