Abstract

Procedure for obtaining a polyurethane composition for vehicle wheels, characterized in that it comprises reacting (a) a polyhydroxy elastomeric polymer of the class consisting of (1) homopolymers and copolymers of conjugated dienes containing from 4 to 6 carbon atoms and (2) copolymers of said diene and an aromatic vinyl monomer or vinylnitrile monomer and (3) polyethers, and (b) a polyisocyanate, and (c) sufficient reinforcing pigment for the composition to be useful for treads; and curing the resulting reaction product with a peroxide.
