Abstract
1522423 Steering lock HANS KOLB GmbH & CO 8 June 1976 [11 June 1975] 23578/76 Heading E2A A steering column lock comprises a casing 1 in which is mounted a barrel lock 2 which controls a sliding bolt via control cam 3. The sliding bolt is made of separate portions 4, 5 mechanically interlocked. A compression spring 9 which abuts the casing 1 and the rear end of the locking portion 4, by extending through the control portion 5, serves to urge the bolt into the locking position. As the control portion 5 is always in contact with the control cam 3, the play between the locking portion and the control portion is eliminated. A spindle 6 on the control cam 3 passes through the bolt and controls an electrical switch.
