Abstract

1522362 Lighting fittings COURTNEY POPE LIGHTING Ltd C F C PERKINS and J F BOTEVYLE 4 June 1976 [21 March 1975] 11943/75 Heading F4R A lighting fitting, e.g. for mounting in a suspended ceiling, includes a housing 26 and a diffuser held in a frame 27 which is attached to the housing by clips 10, the frame having a first inwardly directed flange 40 and a second flange 42 around which the clip is retained and the clip having means 20 for engaging locating means 45, 46 on the housing. As shown, in one arrangement, the clip has legs 11, 12 which lie on the underside of the first flange 40 and a portion 19 which engages both faces of the second flange 42. The means 20 comprises a loop for engaging a hanger 46 slidably fixed on the housing wall 31. The clip can be folded resiliently for transit so that the loop 20 lies on the first flange 40 and the legs 11, 12 depend from the second flange 42. In another arrangement, a pair of legs on the clip extend through a slot in the sidewall of the housing and are sprung apart to hold the frame against the housing, (Figs. 4-6, not shown).
