Abstract
1521969 Snap-action switches TENBY ELECTRICAL ACCESSORIES Ltd 6 Oct 1975 [4 Oct 1974] 43073/74 Heading H1N An electric switch comprising a beam 18 pivotable between two switching positions, a pivotable rocker 22 for pivoting the beam 18, an intermediate member 24 movable about the pivot axis 23 of the rocker 22 and having a projection 25 biased into engagement with the beam 18 by resilient means 27 and a pair of further projections 26 co-operable with a pair of members 29 carried by the rocker 22 so that when the rocker 22 is angularly moved in one or the other direction one of the rocker members 29 engages one of the projections 26 to cause angular movement of the intermediate member 24 to pivot the beam 18 to one of its switching positions, the force applied by the rocker member 29 on the intermediate member 24 acting in the opposite direction to the force exerted by the resilient means 27. The beam 18 is pivotally mounted on a terminal 14 and carries a contact for co-operation with a contact mounted on a terminal 15. The resilient means 27 comprises a compression spring located in a recess in the intermediate member 24, one end of the spring 27 bearing against an end of the recess and the other end bearing against the pivot pin 23 via a slidable channel member 28. One position 19 of the beam 18 is determined by a stop surface 20.
