Abstract

1523277 Snap action switches TENBY ELECTRICAL ACCESSORIES Ltd 6 Oct 1975 [4 Oct 1974] 43074/74 Heading H1N An electric switch comprises a beam 17 pivotable between two switching positions, and a pivotable rocker 21 for pivoting the beam 17 via a plunger 23 which is biased into contact with the beam 17 by resilient means (not shown) and which is engaged by a pair of ears 25 on the rocker 21. The beam 17 is pivotably mounted on a terminal 14 and carries a contact for co-operation with a contact mounted on a terminal 15. The plunger 23 is engaged by the ears 25 in a recess in the rocker 21 and has a slot 24 engaging a pin 22 about which the rocker 21 is pivoted whereby the plunger 23 is guided and allowed to move longitudinally relative to the rocker 21 during angular movement of the rocker 21. One position 18 of the beam 17 is determined by a stop surface 19. The switch may alternatively be a single pole two way switch or a double pole switch.
