1518965 Adjustable seats WILKHAHN WILKENING & HAHNE 26 Sept 1975 [17 May 1975] 39462/75 Headings A4J and A4U Tilting of a seat shell about a horizontal shaft 5 adjacent the front edge of the shell is effected by a lockable gas piston and cylinder unit 9, 6 pivotally connected between a seat shell support 2 and an upright column 3 rigid with a second support 4 carrying the shaft. Rubber blocks (16) and (17) Figs. 5 and 4 (not shown) are interposed between upholstered pads (14) and (15) and the front and upper edges of the shell to allow limited tilting of the pads relatively to the shell.
